Sibà

The district of Sibà is a small inhabited center that hosts a grocery store, a building once used as an elementary school but now housing the forestry authorities, the "Cavour" Club, and the church of Madonna del Rosario.

From the square in front of the church, the road branches off in three directions: one leads to Tikirrikhi, another to the dry bath, and the third climbs towards the summit of Montagna Grande. Near Benikulà, along the side of Montagna Grande, there is a natural cave that features a deep crevice from which water vapor emerges at a temperature of about 38 degrees Celsius. It's a true natural sauna.

From outside the cave, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the vast plain of Monastero, so named for the presence of an ancient monastery, probably a convent of Basilian monks, whose construction date is undocumented. This plain is extremely fertile and extends on the western slope at the foot of Montagna Grande, surrounded by the elevations of Fossa del Rosso, Monte Gibele, and Costa di Benikulà.
